Welcome to Sojourn Mennonite
An Inclusive, Anabaptist Community
Who We Are
Sojourn Mennonite is an inclusive, Anabaptist community in Fort Collins, Colorado. We welcome the presence and the gifts of everyone who wishes to join us as we seek authentic relationship with God and with one another. On Sunday mornings, we gather for non-traditional worship, which combines a few elements of traditional worship with small-group style discussion. Our small size creates a safe space for asking questions without fear of judgment and allows for deep connections with everyone—young and old alike. In addition to our spiritual and community life, peace and justice ministries are integral to our faith understandings as Mennonites. We strive to serve those in need through our actions and our giving. Sojourn is a place to belong and be challenged.
Our community stands on three pillars: spiritual life, community life, and peace and justice initiatives.
What to Expect
Spiritual life:
Loving God
We walk alongside one other on lifelong spiritual journeys. Our small group based spiritual community is nurtured through open dialogue in a safe space. We are progressive, non-creedal, and up lift the Sermon on the Mount. Everyone’s voice is valued and heard.
Community life:
Loving People
We are an intimate, vibrant community following the life and teachings of Jesus. We spend our Sunday mornings together engaged in thought-provoking discussions and worshipping God. Expect to be warmly welcomed.
peace and justice:
SPeaking the Voice of Peace
Our expression of fostering justice includes supporting immigrants through the Community Dreamer Fund and ISAAC, confronting issues of colonialism and the displacement of our Indigenous brothers and sisters, as well as working with the unhoused and those in prison.
