Sojourn is committed to welcoming and supporting immigrants, regardless of documentation status.
In August of 2017 Sojourn formally adopted the following statement on Sanctuary and Accompaniment. Since then, Sojourn has actively participated in the Interfaith Solidarity and Accompaniment Coalition (ISAAC). You can learn more about ISAAC by visiting their website.
In the fall of 2017, Sojourn members organized the Community Empowerment Fund, which supports unserved immigrant high school and post-secondary students in Larimer County by seeking to alleviate financial stressors that might otherwise derail students from graduating. As of July 2025, the Community Empowerment Fund has approved 242 applicants and distributed over $200,000 in assistance. The Fund continues to reach students each academic year. During the 2024-25 school year, the Community Empowerment Fund supported 24 applicants throughout Larimer County and distributed $30,000 in assistance.
