About Sojourn Mennonite Church
We are an inclusive, relevant, and progressive church, gathering in the tradition of newer, urban Mennonite congregations spread across North America.
Our vision is to be an Anabaptist congregation that focuses on caring for our spiritual life, caring for each other in community, and caring for our world through a Christ-centered spirituality and a commitment to speaking the voice of peace in our complex world. Spiritual nurture and social justice are intertwined at Sojourn.
Our community includes young and old. Several of our members grew up in Mennonite circles, while others are new to the Mennonite tradition. We welcome everyone, wherever they are on the journey of faith. We don’t have all the answers, and we fail as often as we succeed. We find hope in community, in sharing meals together, and showing the love of God to our neighbors near and far.
We are active in our community—serving others by partnering with local organizations. We help families experiencing homelessness find permanent housing, we assist immigrants who are new to our community with legal and resettlement challenges, and we provide financial assistance to undocumented students through the Community Dreamer Fund so that they can overcome financial obstacles, focus on their education, and stay in school.
